Message for 2019 annual conference delegates

We have received reports that scammers have been contacting our conference delegates, claiming to represent the Society and offering to arrange hotel accommodation for the conference. If you are contacted by these people, it is important that you do not give away any personal information, including credit/debit card information.

Please rest assured that there has been no security breach on our website, and that all your data remains secure. These scammers are contacting delegates using information that is publicly available (such as institutional telephone numbers). We do not share your data with any third parties and are not using any agencies to arrange conference accommodation, so no one should be contacting you about this.

Communications about the conference will always come from the official conference email address: sfsconf2019@gmail.com.

We have sent a separate email to all delegates to warn them about this scam.
